Repeals Section 5-4.5-95 of the Unified Code of Corrections, which contained general recidivism provisions.

Allows individuals sentenced to natural life imprisonment under the repealed recidivism statute to petition for relief from judgment by proving by preponderance of the evidence they were sentenced under that provision prior to this act's effective date.

Adds new grounds for relief from judgment based on newly discovered evidence of domestic violence by an intimate partner that was not presented at sentencing and would likely change the sentence.

Adds new grounds for relief from judgment based on newly discovered evidence of post-partum depression or post-partum psychosis that was not presented at trial or sentencing and would likely change the sentence.

Preserves the ability of petitioners to pursue any other available relief under existing law in addition to these new grounds.
