IL HB3409

Amends the Probate Act of 1975 by adding Section 8-0.1 to define "interested person" in Article VIII proceedings.

Expands the definition of "interested person" to include those defined under Section 1-2.11 plus any person or organization named as a legatee in a prior will of the decedent.

Allows persons or organizations to be considered "interested persons" if their share under a prior will exceeds their share in the will being admitted to probate.

Known as "Karen's Law" and applies specifically to will contest proceedings under Article VIII of the Probate Act.
