• Amends the Criminal Code of 2012 to add Section 1-6(v) establishing venue rules for municipal ordinance violations that must comply with the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963.

• Allows prosecution of municipal ordinance violations in either the county where the charging municipality's clerk office is located, or any county where at least 35% of the municipality's territory is located, regardless of where the violation occurred.

• Applies to municipal ordinances where prosecution must follow state criminal procedure rules and rules of evidence.
