IL HB3534

Amends Section 5-2 of the Criminal Code of 2012 to add a new provision establishing legal accountability for aggressors who cause injury to third parties.

Makes a person legally accountable when, acting as an aggressor under Section 7-4, they cause another to use force in self-defense under Section 7-1 and that defensive force proximately causes injury to a third party.

Adds this aggressor liability as a fourth circumstance (subsection d) under which a person can be held legally accountable for the conduct of another.
