Creates an educator pipeline development program administered by the Chicago School District to develop and retain educators in key positions.

Eligible participants include licensed practical nurses seeking to become health service nurses, paraprofessionals seeking to become licensed teachers, and multilingual staff employees seeking to become licensed bilingual teachers.

Program supports up to 120 participants per school year and partners with Chicago State University, Northeastern Illinois University, and City Colleges of Chicago.

Participants complete collegiate coursework including Bachelor's degrees while continuing normal work duties, with student teaching or clinical experiences required during the 3-year program timeframe.

Successful participants are placed, to the extent practicable, at their current worksite or elsewhere in the school district, with costs split equally between the State Board of Education and Chicago School District subject to appropriation.
