Expands the Health Care Worker Background Check Act to apply to persons licensed, certified, or registered by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation under 13 specified healthcare licensing acts, including physicians, nurses, dentists, optometrists, physical therapists, and athletic trainers.

Creates a new category of "disqualifying offenses" (74 specific felonies) that require immediate review of licenses, certifications, or registrations for healthcare professionals; applies to all initial applications and renewal applications after the act's effective date.

Disqualifying offenses include murder, sexual crimes against children, kidnapping, human trafficking, elder abuse, certain drug offenses, and related conspiracy or attempt charges.

Health care employers and long-term care facilities may hire individuals convicted of specified offenses only with a waiver under Section 40; prohibits hiring individuals with findings of abuse, neglect, misappropriation, or sexual abuse on relevant registries.

Takes effect 6 months after becoming law.
