Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity shall establish 3 advanced manufacturing training programs to expand skills training, boost manufacturer retention, and attract manufacturing investment.

Grant funds must be used to expand programming in existing facilities or construct new facilities for manufacturing education, led by local community colleges in consultation with regional manufacturers.

Grant funds shall support expanded access to manufacturing programs for previously incarcerated individuals, individuals with disabilities, people of color, women, veterans, and current high school students.

Community colleges receiving grants must match state funds equally with local investments.
