IL HB3679

Amends Illinois School Code Section 14-8.02 regarding individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.

Allows IEP teams to forgo annual meetings if during initial IEP development the student's needs are recognized as unlikely to change, with the IEP continuing until either the student or parent requests modifications.

Maintains all existing requirements for IEP development, evaluation procedures, parent notifications, and special considerations for students with autism spectrum disorder, visual impairments, and other disabilities.

Preserves parent rights to request changes to IEPs and access to independent educational evaluations at any time.
