Establishes the Alternative Protein Innovation Task Force to study and evaluate opportunities for plant-based protein, cultivated meat, and fermented protein industries in Illinois.

Task Force must examine economic development benefits, job creation potential, environmental impacts, food resilience, and health effects of alternative proteins in the state.

Task Force shall consist of 18 members including legislative appointees, state agency officials, agricultural producers, university researchers, biotech industry representatives, and nonprofit organization representatives.

Members shall serve without compensation and task force must hold at least 4 meetings including at least one public hearing, with first meeting within 60 days of the act's effective date.

Task Force must submit findings and recommendations report to the General Assembly by December 31, 2023.
