• Amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act to allow forest preserve districts to prohibit firearm carrying in specific areas including botanic gardens, campgrounds, aquatic centers, athletic venues, golf courses, nature centers, equestrian centers, and other recreational facilities.

• Defines "grounds" as either 75 feet from the entrance to any prohibited area or any area enclosed by fencing on forest preserve property, whichever is greater.

• Removes the blanket prohibition on carrying firearms on all Cook County Forest Preserve District property and replaces it with authority for any forest preserve district to prohibit firearms only in specifically designated areas.

• Exempts forest preserve districts from the requirement to post firearm prohibition signs at entrances, unlike other prohibited locations.
