IL HB3825

Amends Section 10-20.12a of the School Code regarding tuition charges for non-resident pupils.

Prohibits school districts (except Chicago) from charging tuition to non-resident pupils if both the pupil and parent/guardian reside within one-quarter mile of the district's boundaries.

Maintains existing authority for districts to charge non-resident tuition up to 110% of the per capita cost of maintaining schools.

Applies to districts not subject to Article 34 of the School Code (excluding Chicago public schools).
