IL HB3834

Amends the Sanitary District Act of 1936 to prohibit providing group life, health, accident, hospital, and medical insurance benefits to trustees effective January 1, 2024.

Allows sanitary district boards to continue providing insurance benefits to employees under existing provisions.

Permits boards to withhold and deduct insurance premiums from employee compensation with their consent if the district does not pay premiums directly.

Requires insurance coverage to be obtained from Illinois-authorized insurance companies or similar organizations, with boards able to enact ordinances governing the insurance program.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
