Amends the Illinois Minimum Wage Law to establish a minimum wage of $22.50 per hour for all employees working as lifeguards, regardless of age.

The lifeguard minimum wage applies in addition to existing minimum wage requirements and exemptions that apply to other occupations.

Establishes legislative findings that Illinois has a shortage of lifeguards and that higher wages are necessary to recruit and retain quality candidates for this vital public safety role.

This lifeguard wage floor supersedes any lower minimum wage rates that might otherwise apply based on employee age or other factors.
