IL HB3904

Creates the Local Official Vacancy Posting Act requiring units of local government to post every elected official vacancy on their website if maintained by full-time staff, with postings remaining until the vacancy is filled.

Requires units of local government to submit elected official vacancies to the county clerk, who shall post the information on the county website until notified the vacancy has been filled.

Prohibits filling an elected official vacancy until the posting has remained on the municipality's website (or county website if the municipality lacks a full-time maintained website) for at least 15 days.

Limits home rule powers by prohibiting home rule units from regulating the posting of elected official vacancies in a manner inconsistent with this Act.
