IL HB3907

Requires school boards to provide all educators with daily continuous uninterrupted individual classroom planning time equal to one class period, minimum 45 minutes.

Applies to educators who have student contact for 50% or more of their contracted workday.

Prohibits forcing educators to substitute in other areas of the building or district during planning periods when other educators are absent or vacancies exist.

Prohibits forcing educators to attend meetings, trainings, or conferences during guaranteed planning periods.

Requires compensation negotiated between the local Board of Education and state teacher association if educators voluntarily use planning time for substitution or professional development activities.
