Changes Illinois School Code Section 22-30 to require (instead of permit) school districts, public schools, charter schools, and nonpublic schools to maintain a supply of opioid antagonist in any secure location where an individual may have an opioid overdose.

Requires a health care professional with delegated prescriptive authority for opioid antagonists under the Substance Use Disorder Act to prescribe opioid antagonists in the school's name (changed from "may" to "shall").

Maintains existing provisions allowing school nurses and trained personnel to administer opioid antagonists to anyone believed to be experiencing an opioid overdose during school hours, school-sponsored activities, and before/after-school care.

Requires schools to immediately activate emergency medical services and notify the student's parent, guardian, or emergency contact upon administering an opioid antagonist, with written notification to the prescribing health care professional within 24 hours.

Requires schools to report opioid antagonist administrations to the State Board of Education within 3 days, and mandates annual State Board reporting to the General Assembly on frequency and circumstances of opioid antagonist use in schools.
