Department of Human Services shall direct the Illinois Mental Health Planning and Advisory Council to establish a voluntary framework and standard for mental health in the workplace.

Standard aims to reduce mental health stigma and increase awareness of recovery goals among the public, employees, and employers.

Framework provides guidance to Illinois employers on implementing strategies and programs to support employee mental health and wellness.

Illinois Mental Health Planning and Advisory Council must consult with the Department of Labor when developing the standard.
