IL HB3944

Amends the Criminal Code of 2012 by adding a new subsection (o) to Section 3-6 regarding limitations on prosecution for drug-induced homicide.

Extends the statute of limitations for drug-induced homicide prosecutions from 3 years to 10 years after the commission of the offense.

Changes the general limitations period established in Section 3-5 to allow prosecutors more time to bring charges in drug-induced homicide cases.
