• Requires that accidental injuries arise out of and in the course of employment only if the accident significantly caused or contributed to both the resulting condition and disability, with exclusions for non-work-related hazards and personal risks.

• Limits repetitive or cumulative trauma compensation by excluding ordinary gradual deterioration from aging and normal day-to-day activities, and restricts prior employer liability to exposures of fewer than 3 months.

• Reduces workers' compensation benefit amounts for specific injuries (thumb, fingers, toes, arm, foot, leg, eye) to pre-February 1, 2006 levels by reverting recent increases in week-long benefit schedules.

• Establishes that travel to and from work is generally not compensable, except when employees are required to travel for job duties and are performing employer-instructed acts or reasonable job-related activities.

• Requires deduction of prior permanent injury awards or settlements from subsequent injury awards for the same employee.
