IL HB4281

Amends the Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair Braiding, and Nail Technology Act of 1985 to establish a certified medical esthetician credential.

Allows the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to issue a certificate to licensed estheticians who complete additional training requirements determined by the Department.

Permits certified medical estheticians to independently perform microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, microneedling, and radio frequency treatment without physician supervision.

Adds certified medical esthetician services to the definition of esthetics within state law.

Requires the Department to adopt rules to implement and administer the new certified medical esthetician provisions.
