IL HB4411

Amends the Pharmacy Practice Act to require pharmacists to display a conspicuous warning sign about the dangers of opioids in their pharmacy.

Directs the Department of Public Health to develop the form and content of the required opioid warning sign.

Requires pharmacists to inform patients that opioids are addictive before dispensing opioids and offer to dispense an opioid antagonist.

Permits licensed pharmacists to dispense opioid antagonists according to written standardized procedures or protocols developed by the Department with the Department of Public Health and Department of Human Services.

Section 19.1 is scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2028.
