State shall indemnify and hold harmless board-certified forensic pathologists appointed or designated by a county or county coroner's office for acts arising from autopsy duties, except for willful or wanton misconduct.

Indemnification provided under the State Employee Indemnification Act applies to forensic pathologists performing autopsies for counties and coroners' offices.

Amends the State Employee Indemnification Act to include board-certified forensic pathologists appointed by counties or county coroners' offices as eligible employees for indemnification.

Creates exception to the Local Governmental and Governmental Employees Tort Immunity Act definition of "State" to allow county and coroner's office involvement in autopsy pathologist appointments.
