Law enforcement agencies must submit monthly reports to Illinois State Police on arrest-related deaths (beginning January 1, 2016), officer firearm injuries to persons (beginning January 1, 2017), hate crimes, domestic crimes, index offenses, school-reported incidents, mental health crisis responses (beginning July 1, 2021), and use of force incidents (beginning July 1, 2021).

Illinois State Police shall submit quarterly reports to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority on arrest-related deaths, contingent upon updated federal guidelines for the Uniform Crime Reporting Program.

Law enforcement agencies must publish monthly on their public websites the number of homicides, nonfatal shootings, arrests and charges made, case clearances, and referrals to State's Attorney offices for prosecution occurring in their jurisdiction.

Website publication of required information must occur by the end of the month following the reporting month, and agencies must submit data to Illinois State Police and the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority in forms and frequency specified by the State Police.

Illinois State Police and the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority may publish and make publicly available the information provided by law enforcement agencies.
