Executive Inspector General may issue a public statement upon concluding an investigation if recommending systemic or procedural action or finding reasonable cause of a violation when the Inspector General believes a complaint should not be filed with the Executive Ethics Commission.

Public statements may summarize the nature of allegations, specific violations found, systemic or procedural issues identified, and recommendations for discipline or corrective measures without disclosing the name of the investigated individual.

Executive Inspector General must share proposed public statements with the affected agency head and ultimate jurisdictional authority, allowing 10 business days for them to provide a written response.

Any response from the agency head or ultimate jurisdictional authority must be included with the public statement when issued.

Legislation takes effect immediately upon enactment.
