Requires every public school to provide instruction on climate change beginning with the 2026-2027 school year

Climate change instruction must include identifying environmental and ecological impacts on individuals and communities and evaluating solutions to address and mitigate those impacts

Climate change curriculum must align with State learning standards as appropriate

State Board of Education shall prepare and make available multi-disciplinary instructional resources and professional learning opportunities for educators to implement climate change instruction, subject to appropriation

Maintains existing requirement for instruction on conservation of natural resources including air/water pollution, waste reduction, recycling, pesticides, wilderness preservation, forest management, and wildlife protection
