IL HB4905

Amends the Public Officer Prohibited Activities Act to allow township officials in townships with populations under 2,500 inhabitants to serve on boards of education, regional boards of school trustees, boards of school directors, or boards of school inspectors.

Specifically permits trustees and other township officials in small townships to hold these school board positions without resigning from their township office.

Applies notwithstanding any other provision of law, creating an exception to general prohibitions on township officials holding multiple offices.

Effective immediately upon enactment.
