Amends Section 9-10 of the School Code to add civil union name changes to the exemptions from the 3-year prior name disclosure requirement for school board candidates.

Adds exception for name changes that conform a candidate's name to their gender identity, exempting such changes from the requirement to list prior names on nomination petitions.

Applies the same civil union and gender identity name change exemptions to Section 34-4.1 governing nomination petitions for school board members in Chicago.

Name changes due to adoption, marriage, civil union, or dissolution of marriage/civil union continue to be exempt from the prior name disclosure requirements.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
