IL HB5058

Amends the Department of Central Management Services Law to allow members of the African Descent-Citizens Reparations Commission to count toward quorum when attending meetings virtually via two-way, live communication.

Allows duly appointed commission members to participate remotely and have their attendance count for quorum purposes without being physically present.

Applies to the existing African Descent-Citizens Reparations Commission, which is responsible for developing equity measures, holding hearings, and educating the public on reparations for African American descendants of slavery.

Maintains all other commission provisions including membership structure, duties related to neighborhood preservation, vocational training, state contracting equity, and slavery era disclosure requirements.
