Extends the COVID-19 presumption period for Illinois police officers and firefighters from June 30, 2021 to January 31, 2022, allowing those who contracted COVID-19 during duty to be presumed injured in the line of duty.

Applies the extended presumption retroactively to March 9, 2020, enabling officers and firefighters previously denied benefits to receive retroactive duty disability and death benefits.

Establishes rebuttable presumptions that COVID-19 contracted during the extended period was work-related, entitling affected officers and firefighters to 75% salary duty disability benefits and death benefits for their families.

Exempts the presumption for personnel on leave of absence or not required to report for duty for 14 or more consecutive days immediately before COVID-19 contraction.

Declares that the State is not required to reimburse municipalities for implementing these pension benefit mandates.
