IL HB5205

Amends the Video Gaming Act to require the Illinois Gaming Board to establish and maintain a database tracking population, number of licensed establishments, and the ratio of licensed establishments per 1,000 residents for each municipality and unincorporated county area where video gaming is permitted.

Prohibits the Board from issuing new licenses to applicants located in municipalities or unincorporated areas that already have more than one licensed establishment per 1,000 residents.

Requires the Board to deny license renewal applications in areas exceeding one licensed establishment per 1,000 residents until the ratio drops to that threshold or below.

Protects existing licenses issued before the effective date of this amendatory act, allowing licensed establishments to continue operating for the duration of their awarded licenses.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
