Requires the Department to adopt rules mandating the nursing assistant certification exam be offered in both English and Spanish with no restrictions on which candidates may take the Spanish version.

Allows individuals to satisfy supervised clinical experience requirements for Health Care Worker Registry placement through assisted living establishments licensed under the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act, in addition to nursing facilities.

Requires the Health Care Worker Registry to include information identifying where individuals received their clinical training.

Permits temporary nursing assistants from the COVID-19 pandemic program to receive one hour of credit per hour worked (up to 40 hours) toward certification and allows 90 days to enroll and 240 days to complete certified nursing assistant training.

Maintains existing training requirements including 8 years of grade school education, completion of Department-approved training within 120 days of employment, criminal background checks, and performance of duties under licensed nurse supervision.
