Allows multi-story housing to achieve code compliance through an alternative method requiring all dwelling units be adaptable Type A units or Type B units under ICC/ANSI A117.1, with all common use and public spaces meeting code requirements.

Requires explicit identification of the alternative compliance method election in the professional engineer or structural engineer statement submitted with project plans.
