TNC drivers are prohibited from forcing, demanding, or requiring passengers to exit vehicles before reaching their destination, except when the passenger's actions cause the driver to reasonably fear for their health or safety.

Transportation network companies are assessed a $500 fine for each violation when their drivers prematurely force passengers to exit vehicles without cause.

TNCs must credit passengers for the portion of the ride that was prematurely ended when a violation occurs.

The Consumer Protection Division of the Office of the Attorney General is responsible for enforcing and collecting all fines under this provision.

The Attorney General has enforcement powers under Sections 3, 4, 5, and 6 of the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act to implement this requirement.
