• By the 2023-2024 school year, school districts must allow automatic enrollment in the next rigorous level of advanced coursework for students who exceed state standards in English language arts, mathematics, or science on state assessments.

• By the 2027-2028 school year, school districts must allow automatic eligibility (rather than automatic enrollment) for students who meet state standards in these subjects to enroll in advanced coursework, with parents having the option to opt-out or choose alternative coursework.

• School districts must provide written notification to parents or guardians of eligible students and may waive prerequisite course requirements if a student demonstrates mastery of the course content.

• School districts must maintain accelerated placement policies that include fair decision-making processes with multiple assessors, multiple valid indicators, and procedures addressing equity gaps among demographic groups.

• Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, students must complete one year of computer literacy instruction as a high school graduation requirement, and beginning in 2028-2029, two years of foreign language courses become required for graduation.
