Creates the Holistic Mental Health Care for Youth in Care Task Force to review and recommend mental health and wellness services for youth in foster care, including a program of holistic mental health services beginning 30 days after placement.

Task Force shall assess mental health professional capacity, review payment rates for providers, evaluate billing processes for smaller practices, assess recruitment and retention of providers of color, and examine other relevant processes.

Task Force comprises 9 members including directors of Healthcare and Family Services and Children and Family Services, a Governor-appointed mental health expert, two House members, two Senate members, a former youth in care, and a YouthCare managed care representative.

Task Force must meet at least monthly beginning July 1, 2022, submit quarterly reports to the Governor and General Assembly, and submit a final report by December 31, 2025.

Section is repealed January 1, 2026, at which time the Task Force is dissolved.
