Department of Corrections shall file certification with Prisoner Review Board upon completion of all mandatory conditions of parole or mandatory supervised release.

Discharge order becomes effective immediately upon Board entry if parolee/releasee is likely to remain at liberty without reoffending or obtained high school diploma, associate's degree, bachelor's degree, career certificate, vocational technical certification, or passed high school equivalency testing during parole/release period.

Discharge order becomes effective immediately for low-risk and need individuals on mandatory supervised release as determined by evidence-based risk and need assessment.

Discharge order becomes effective 30 days after Department certification in all other cases, unless Prisoner Review Board denies early discharge.

Parolee or releasee may reduce parole or mandatory supervised release period by 90 days for each qualifying educational or vocational credential earned during supervision, with documentation required.
