Illinois State Police shall send quarterly verification letters (nonforwardable or electronic) to sexually dangerous persons and sexually violent persons, and annual verification letters to other registered sex offenders, with responses due within 10 days.

Registered sex offenders must provide fingerprints (mandatory) and palm prints (subject to appropriation), along with an annually updated photograph as part of registration requirements.

Registration information must specify whether a person is a sex offender under this Act, with law enforcement agencies forwarding information to the Illinois State Police Sex Offender database within 3 days.

All registered sex offenders must submit DNA specimens (blood, saliva, or tissue) as required, unless they have previously submitted a specimen already uploaded to the Illinois DNA database.

The Sex Offender Registration Fund is renamed the Offender Registration Fund and shall be used to cover criminal justice system costs for administering sex offender and violent offender registration Acts.
