Prohibits using bots to communicate or interact with people online in Illinois with intent to mislead about the bot's artificial identity for purposes of deceiving them about communication content to incentivize purchase of goods or services or to influence voting in elections.

Requires bot operators to make clear, conspicuous disclosures reasonably designed to inform people they are interacting with a bot, which exempts operators from liability.

Defines "bot" as an automated online account where all or substantially all actions or posts are not the result of a person.

Exempts service providers of online platforms, web hosting providers, and Internet service providers from duties and obligations under the Act.

Classifies violations as unlawful practices under the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act, with enforcement by the Attorney General and all associated remedies and penalties available.

Effective July 1, 2025.
