IL HB5619

Amends Section 14-3.01 of the School Code regarding the Advisory Council on the Education of Children with Disabilities.

Requires the State Board of Education to allocate sufficient funds for transportation and lodging for Advisory Council members attending meetings in Springfield.

Requires the State Board of Education to provide up to $5,000 in scholarship funds for families to attend an annual legislative breakfast organized by the Advisory Council.

Maintains the existing 27-member composition of the Advisory Council, including 23 voting members appointed by the Governor and 4 ex-officio voting members.
