Amends the Funeral Directors and Embalmers Licensing Code (225 ILCS 41/1-30) to authorize the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to properly inspect funeral homes and investigate complaints.

Adds explicit language granting the Department power to contract with third parties, including investigators with proper knowledge and training, to conduct funeral home inspections and complaint investigations.

Replaces previous blank provision in Section 1-30(7) with specific authority for funeral home inspections and complaint investigations.

Becomes effective immediately upon enactment, with the amended section scheduled for repeal on January 1, 2028.
