Creates the Task Force on Foreign Language Education Requirements to review public policy options for foreign language education requirements in Illinois secondary schools.

Task force membership includes four General Assembly members (appointed by House Speaker, Senate President, and minority leaders of each chamber), a rural school district representative, the State Superintendent of Education or designee, a regional superintendents representative, and two school district superintendents (one from large and one from small regions).

Task force members serve without compensation but receive reimbursement for reasonable and necessary expenses from State Board of Education funds; must hold initial meeting within 90 days and thereafter meet quarterly.

Task force shall review policy offerings and alternatives for foreign language education that benefit students entering the workforce and make policymaking recommendations related to alternatives to current foreign language education requirements.

State Board of Education provides administrative support; task force must report findings and recommendations to General Assembly and Governor by July 1, 2025, and is dissolved on August 1, 2025.
