Persons convicted of a felony would become eligible to run for and hold elective public office after completing their full sentence, including any parole or mandatory supervised release term

The eligibility restoration applies to offices created by the Illinois Constitution, state law, or county/municipal ordinance or referendum

A permanent ban on holding public office would remain for individuals convicted of felony, bribery, perjury, or other infamous crimes committed while serving as a public official in Illinois

Those convicted while serving as public officials could only regain eligibility through a pardon, restoration of rights by the Governor, or having their conviction reversed

Amends the Election Code, Illinois Municipal Code, and Unified Code of Corrections to implement these changes
