Acknowledges the Potawatomi Trail of Death, the 1838 forced removal of approximately 859 Potawatomi Nation members from Indiana to eastern Kansas, during which 42 people died including 28 children.

Notes that the trail passed through Decatur in what is now Mueller Park, where a historical marker called "The Rock" was placed in 1994 by Zita and Bernard Wright.

Requests the Illinois Department of Transportation erect directional plaques or signs at suitable locations consistent with state and federal regulations to guide people to the Trail of Death historical marker.

Requires a copy of the resolution to be delivered to the Secretary of the Illinois Department of Transportation.
