Declares April 19, 2023 as Alpha Phi Alpha Day in the State of Illinois in honor of the fraternity and its community impact

Acknowledges Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated was founded December 4, 1906 at Cornell University as the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established by and for African Americans

Notes the fraternity has over 700 chapters worldwide, including 32 in Illinois, and has developed more than 200,000 men over 116 years through programs including "Go to High School, Go to College" and voter registration initiatives

Highlights notable Alpha Phi Alpha members including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Thurgood Marshall, and current Illinois elected officials Representative Justin Slaughter, Speaker Emanuel "Chris" Welch, and Senator Elgie R. Sims Jr.
