Congratulates the Augustana Symphonic Band on its 150th anniversary in 2024.

Recognizes the band was organized as the Augustana Silver Cornet Band in Paxton in 1874 and performed at Augustana College's relocation to Rock Island in 1875.

Acknowledges the band served as the 6th Illinois Regimental Band during World War I and has represented Illinois through performance tours nationally and internationally.

Honors Dr. James M. Lambrecht, who has directed the band since 1988, along with current and former band members, alumni, and directors.

Recognizes the Augustana Symphonic Band as one of the oldest, most respected collegiate wind ensembles in the nation and the oldest active musical organization in the Quad Cities.
