Congratulates Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated on its 114th anniversary on January 5, 2025.

Recognizes that Kappa Alpha Psi was founded by 10 men on January 5, 1911 at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and became the first incorporated Black Greek letter organization in the United States on May 15, 1911.

Notes the fraternity's five objectives: to unite college men of culture, patriotism, and honor in brotherhood; encourage honorable achievement; promote members' spiritual, social, intellectual, and moral welfare; assist colleges and universities; and inspire public service.

States the fraternity has over 250,000 members across 700 undergraduate and alumni chapters in nearly every U.S. state, including 14 undergraduate and 21 alumni chapters in Illinois, plus 13 international chapters.
