Commends State Representative Dan Caulkins on his retirement and service to Illinois after being elected in November 2018 and serving since January 2019

Caulkins represented the 101st and 88th Districts (following remapping) covering all or portions of Champaign, DeWitt, Piatt, Macon, and McLean counties in central Illinois

Served on multiple House committees including Appropriations-General Service, Public Utilities, Energy and Environment, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics and IT, and Labor and Commerce; served as Republican Spokesperson for Cybersecurity and Prescription Drug Affordability committees in the 103rd General Assembly

Prior to his House service, Caulkins served 20 years in the United States Army as a retired major with the Illinois Army National Guard, worked for ADM and other companies, founded a 19-bed group home for developmentally disabled adults in 1989, and served as chief operating officer of Patterson House Inc., expanding it to three homes and two CILAs with 74 residents and over 100 employees

Caulkins is a graduate of Stephen Decatur High School and Eastern Illinois University, served four years on Decatur City Council, and has been married to his wife Jo for over 50 years
