Removes exemption for long-term care insurers from genetic information restrictions under the Genetic Information Privacy Act.

Prohibits health insurers, life insurers, and long-term care insurers from canceling, limiting, denying coverage, or setting premium differentials based on genetic information for policies offered, entered into, issued, amended, or renewed on or after January 1, 2024.

Bars insurers from requiring or soliciting genetic information, using genetic test results, or considering decisions or actions relating to genetic information for any insurance purpose.

Allows life and long-term care insurers to access medical records during application exams and consider medical diagnoses based on genetic test results.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
