Repeals the Illinois Estate and Generation-Skipping Transfer Tax Act, effective immediately upon becoming law.

Eliminates Illinois estate tax for persons dying on or after the effective date of this amendatory act.

Eliminates Illinois generation-skipping transfer tax for transfers occurring on or after the effective date of this amendatory act.

Maintains existing tax obligations for persons dying or transfers occurring prior to the effective date of this act.
