IL SB1325

Amends the Unified Code of Corrections to permit the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts and the Department of Juvenile Justice to hire county juvenile detention center personnel with less than a bachelor's degree.

Allows hiring of applicants who possess an associate's degree or have completed at least 60 credit hours at an accredited institution of higher education for county juvenile detention center positions.

Overrides existing law or rules that require bachelor's degrees for these personnel positions.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
